Dear Friends,

From the “Rabbi Files” this season:

“My mother is Jewish by my father is not. My Parents are divorced but I am close to my Dad as much as my mom. My dad expects me to help him with his XMAS tree. Schlepping, installing, decorating. I know a fundamental Jewish Mitzvah is to respect and honor your parent. My dad, who respects my choices as a Jew, would take serious offense if I wouldn’t show him a similar level of respect for his way of life.

What should I do? Am I allowed to help him out with his XMAS tree in order to do my Mitzvah in respecting my Dad and keep family harmony?”

What do you all think? Perhaps we can discuss at TOWN-TONIGHT!!!
